DALLAS, Jan 10, 2005/ FW/ --- During the New York Fall 2004 season, the fashion world saw the triumphant return to the runway of Italian-born designer Roberto Menichetti.
Making his mark with the highly successful rejuvenation of Burberry, he moved to Cerrutti, where his debut collection for its menswear line received critical acclaim from the fashion press.
But to the surprise of everyone, Menichetti decided to leave the Italian fashion house in 2002, after only one season.
Two years in hibernation, he is back with his own label. Simply called, "Menichetti," the designer designs and produces the women’s, men’s and accessories lines, that was introduced on February 10, 2004 during New York Fall 2004 season.
Launched as partnership between the designer and Mr. Richard B. Fisher and his wife, Jeanne Donovan Fisher, the brand is based in New York with offices in Europe and Asia.
The menswear line will debut on the Milan runway during the Fall 2005 season, while the womenswear line will be shown for the third consecutive time in New York.
The Spring 2005 collection, which will hit stores in two months, is vintage Menichetti – modern and slim silhouettes that are sensual and sophisticated.
Geared towards urban dwellers, the Menichetti woman will never be a candidate for a makeover on Bravo’s “Queer Eye for a Straight Girl.”
Sure of herself and her femininity, the Menichetti woman has a complete wardrobe from the basics to the sophisticated.
Roberto Menichetti never missed a beat with this collection and once again, he reminded the fashion flock why he is very successful in his chosen field.
