PARIS, Oct 6, 2005/ FW/ --- When a lady wears a men’s shirt she can be amazingly sexy, and this is what Stella McCartney believes whole heartedly, infact her spring summer 2006 collection is like a keyhole vision into a world where women are playful without the frills.
High waisted trousers and little shorts in shades of platinum worn with a crisp shirt need no styling except the simple act of rolling up of a sleeve or two.
Clean cut and neat, McCartney designs for women where simplicity is a basic fundamental
requirement of putting a wardrobe together.
Trench lengths are reduced and basic elegance comes as a double-breasted long sportscoat and V-neck cardigan.
Waists are accentuated and torsos elongated with little bolero tailored jackets and strapless eggs shaped dresses are essential and wonderfully done.
American contemporary artist Jeff Koons worked with McCartney on jewelry that resulted in a range of prints unique to the female designing clothes for real women.
Daring high cut one piece silver swimwear will shimmer under the heat of the summer sun while jumpsuits implore comfort and free thinking dressing.
Stella McCartney captures the sassy side of simplicity, wearablity and the important issue of improving sales. A topic many choose not to address, but in the end this is exactly the point; no sales, no future.
