PARIS, Oct 8, 2006/ FW/ --- From sportive to formal, from simply beautiful to just plain cute, Stella McCartney’s Spring 2007 collection stands out as one of the best collections shown by the London-based designer to date.
McCartney, who started out with a bang during the Spring 2002 season had faltered, then recovered, and had been slowly finding her way to the design talent that had endeared her to the fashion set since she started her career.
Showing maturity as a designer, Stella McCartney sent loose-fitting short jumpsuits paired with loose fitting jackets, conquistador styled swimsuits and playsuits, wraps and sack dresses that are impeccably tailored.
Mixing architectural cuts with flowing silhouettes, the London-based designer showed restraint when it comes to volume as puffed sleeves ranged from oversized to mini.
Trousers are relaxed, and so are the shirts and jackets. It’s weekend getaway time for Stella’s fans as the designer proposed mini shift dresses and jumpers.
For evening, halter neck minis decorated with oversized sequins that look more like buttons and deep V necklines on hip-hugging skirts, everything were created with ease of wear and traveling light in mind.
Bright and cheerful is Stella McCartney’s forecast for Spring 2007.
