NEW YORK, Feb 15, 2008 / FW/ — Inspired by the 1960 movie BUtterfield 8 starring Elizabeth Taylor, Carmen Marc Valvo sent a very intimate collection that’s predominantly eveningwear with a few dresses that are best worn for afternoon tea.
Bustier dresses and lingerie-inspired frocks, there is strength and vulnerability in the silhouettes, very much like Carmen Marc Valvo’s muse, the fictional Gloria Wandrous (played by Elizabeth Taylor), the fashionable Manhattan beauty wherein the story of BUtterfield 8 revolves.
