LONDON, May 25, 2005/ FW/ --- Australian cosmetics brand BECCA continues its expansion in the luxury market with the opening of its flagship store in London’s Brompton Cross.

Launched three years ago Rebecca Morrice Williams, the brand’s unrivalled range of advanced foundations and super-stylish, ultra-modern colour choices has proved to be so popular, that BECCA can now be found in no less than 70 outlets in 15 countries all around the world.

Last April marked the latest chapter in the Becca story, with the opening of the first stand-alone store in the heart of London.

And last week, it celebrated its grand opening attended by a radiantly pregnant Heidi Wichlinksi, Lisa Butcher, Lisa I’Anson, Sophia Hesketh, Rose Hanbury, Gyunel Boateng and her husband Ozwald, Angela Dunn, Jayne Blight, Vanessa Scott and Russian model Darya Lazukima all enjoyed the evening in the beautifully designed store.

The store, located at 91a Pelham Street, London SW7 was a design collaboration between BECCA creator, Rebecca Morrice Williams and the Conceptualise design team of Patsy Godik, Grant White and Andrew Wilson.

Creating a unique beauty environment that pays tribute to the plush 'salons de beauté' and cafés of Europe’s hedonistic heyday, it became a concept store that is a class on its own.

BECCA’s signature warm brown tones feature prominently in the radical design, which uses rich textures and luxury materials effortlessly combined with modern elements to create an atmosphere of relaxed indulgence.

Opulent silks, suede and velvet feature alongside functional rubber and steel; Biba-inspired retro chic is melded with C21st beauty technology; and BECCA’s gorgeous products are perfectly displayed against glamorous chandeliers, exotic feather detailing and intricate beaded features.

As well as being visually captivating, the boutique is also eminently functional. One key feature is the several private make-up stations, which are appropriately secluded away from the retail shop front.

There is also an exclusive mezzanine level, where top-notch nail treatments and hairdressing facilities will be available by appointment and champagne and chocolates will be on hand for those with a penchant for total indulgence.

The overall effect is a distinctive mix of modern style and timeless glamour, allowing all who enter, the opportunity to experience the BECCA story in unrivalled style.

At the BECCA Store, customers will be able to access the services of some of London’s top stylists and beauty professionals.

If any client having her make-up done before heading out for a glamorous evening wasn’t able to book a suitable hair appointment, then the BECCA team with its bank of experts will be able to help out.

The BECCA Store will be a first port-of-call in the evening – a kind of ‘girls’ night in’ before going out.
