DALLAS, Mar 15, 2006/ FW/ --- The first Todd Oldham by La-Z-Boy store opened its doors in New York last January 2006 and it continues to be a popular destination for home accessories.

Located at 73 Wooster St., in New York City's SoHo neighborhood, the 2,720-square-foot Todd Oldham by La-Z-Boy store is the first retail location dedicated to wildly popular Todd Oldham by La-Z-Boy collection, which combines fashion with function and features furnishings for the living and family rooms.

"New York is the perfect home for La-Z-Boy's first Todd Oldham by La-Z-Boy store, because the collection truly speaks to the modern design tastes and unique space challenges of New Yorkers," said Todd Oldham about his namesake store.

Introduced in 2003, the Todd Oldham by La-Z-Boy collection features of sleek upholstery, distinctive occasionals and fashionable accessories. It’s success and popularity paved the way to the opening of a retail location specifically for it.

"This collection's breadth and urban look has been very successful in reaching a new audience and continuing to give customers a fashion-forward look from La-Z-Boy, which the company first introduced with its New Look of Comfort campaign," said Kurt Darrow, president and chief executive officer of La-Z-Boy.

"This store will broaden the collection's reach and symbolizes the next step in the strong partnership La-Z-Boy has formed with Todd Oldham,” he added.

Since its debut, world-renowned designer Todd Oldham and La-Z-Boy have continually expanded the collection of fashion-forward furnishings and home accents, making it the most robust collection in La-Z-Boy history.

The store features exclusive accessories and home furnishings, as well as offer next-day delivery on select upholstery. In addition, signed prints from American artist Charles Harper will be available and in-house personnel are on hand to help customers pull it all together.
