On an announcement today, the Versace Group confirmed that the new 120 square meters boutique redesigned to create an overall effect, which is modern, pure and sleek will be housed at the Chengdu Seibu Department Store.

Mirroring the recently redesigned Versace flagship boutiques in Milan, New York and Tokyo, the architecture of the Chengdu location focuses on an unusual combination of black granite marble for the floors and a stucco grey “Marmorino” for the walls.

The ceilings are featured in enamel white and the furniture and fixtures in an extra clear “Antelio” crystal and black lacquered wood. The atmosphere is rendered more sophisticated by the use of light as a decorative element.

The boutique will carry the Versace accessories for men and women, including accessories: watches, jewellery, and eyewear. In addition, the home collection will also be sold in this boutique.

Selecting Chengdu as the home of its first ever accessories store was a very logical choice for Versace. Home to over 11 million people, Chengdu is also a very important tourist destination.

The natural habitat of giant pandas, the city is also headquarters of the Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center, which supports the world's only giant panda breeding and research base. Chengdu is also the main inland access city to Tibet
