MILAN, Mar 22, 2007/ FW/ --- Expanding its foothold in the Far East, Gianfranco Ferré recently opened a new boutique at the Landmark, the most prestigious and famous Hong Kong shopping mall.
A legendary location on the luxury circuit, The Landmark has one of the highest concentration of flagship stores of the world’s leading fashion houses compared to other places around the globe.
With a retail area of over 160 square meters, the new Gianfranco Ferré boutique features women’s, men’s and accessories from the Italian maison.
The entrance leads directly into a L-shape area visible from the outside, leading directly to the accessories area. It then connects to the women and men’s collections that are strategically placed on either side.
Echoing the retail space concept unveiled in January 2006 at Gianfranco Ferré flagship store in Florence, the Hong Kong boutique was constructed with ivory tone flooring consists of large smooth slabs of unpolished sandstone.
Exquisitely selected furnishings create a sense of harmony with the interplay of glossy black and ivory lacquer finishes.
Shelving elements in black or ivory leather, plus mat-finish steel clothing racks hanging from leather-covered portals in the same contrasting hues add to the dramatic effect. The very finest product categories find a special accent in the gold-leaf backdrops.
Tables too present a distinctive mix of materials - soft leather, mirror glass, lacquered wood - while each one of the chairs is an exclusive Gianfranco Ferré design as to both structure and upholstery – the latter in pure silk or velvet with gros grain or velvet ribbon decoration, all capturing a gorgeous shiny/matte enhancing the store’s signature black/ivory shades.
