LOS ANGELES, Jun 8, 2007/ FW/ --- Art & fashion meet once again at Saks Fifth Avenue’s ‘Want It!’ this September as the famed store raises the bar on visual merchandising with the works of celebrated typographer graphic artist Marian Banties.
Creations of several of the world’s most celebrated designers are going to be displayed with the elegant work of Bantjes as the supporting visuals. The Canadian native created 18 flourished images, each cleverly weaving the name of a WANT IT! item into its iconic silhouette.
At the center of the campaign is 18 WANT IT! items -9 each for men and women, in an array of unique styles. From cropped jackets and textured cardigans for her, to tuxedo dressing and puffy vests for him, every piece is an object of desire.
And just like last year, the store windows of Saks Fifth Avenue flagship in New York that span three sides of the store will be a visual merchandising feast. Every store window is unique and tells its own story.
In addition, the campaign will include events, advertising, catalogs and a significant presence on www.saks.com, all launching this September.
