Starbury NEW YORK, Apr 3, 2007/ MF/ --- Thousands of New Yorkers were on hand as NBA Star Stephon Marbury unveiled his new signature Starbury II on-court shoe to celebrate the movement that Starbury has sparked nationwide.

The Starbury Movement reflects Marbury’s vision of offering star-quality items at prices that all families can afford, including a $14.98 basketball sneaker that is made with similar construction and materials as $200 shoes marketed by the nation's top brands.

To prove its quality, Marbury wears the sneaker during every NBA game he plays. Marbury created the Starbury Collection last summer and it has been embraced by millions of consumers and civic leaders.

Mark Cuban calls it "the story of the year," and it continues to gain momentum, with 200 new styles of sneakers and clothing - including the Starbury II - debuting this week at Steve & Barry's stores nationwide. To celebrate the Starbury II, Marbury led hundreds of children into the NYC Steve & Barry's store, where thousands of other shoppers were eagerly buying the revolutionary product.

Starbury was the realization of Marbury’s vision to eliminate the incredible pressure kids and parents feel to spend top dollar on the latest sneakers. He was raised in a large family facing financial challenges and witnessed others being beaten and worse for their high-priced shoes.

Also wearing the new Starbury II during NBA games is four-time NBA All-Star Ben Wallace. Announced last week as the first-ever athlete to endorse Starbury, his signature “Big Ben” sneaker is currently being designed and will debut next season.

Until then, he is supporting the Movement by wearing Marbury's signature Starbury II shoe. Like all Starbury merchandise, the Big Ben shoe will be available exclusively at Steve & Barry’s stores nationwide for $14.98.
