Agnès B: Travel, Weddings and the City
By: Randal Jacobs
PARIS, Oct 9, 2004/ FW/ --- Agnès B is a very well known label both in France and the U.S. Today’s presentation was full of unmentionable clothing in a great showroom.
Looking out over the courtyard of the Louvre, the Agnès B showroom was full of European buyers.
For travel wear Hawaiian floral bikinis and suits were in soft cottons and natural prints. White trench coats are for rainy summer nights. 1950s inspired polka dot dresses will look great on the deck of boats during vacation parties.
For the city collection, blue pin-stripe business suits were paired with pleated skirts and tailored pants. Simple shell tops and tanks can be under layers to sweaters. Sleeveless comfort dresses will be great with strappy leather sandals. Burnt orange suede and pasticcio leather suits were just thrown into the collection.
The wedding line left a lot to be desired with periwinkle suits and light floral lavender dresses. Ljilja line for Agnès B is incorporating radical dots and shorter hem lines for this diffusion collection. Soft leather biker inspired jackets were tailored.
The limited accessory line included only silk scarves and a couple of non-intricate designed necklaces and shoes. Agnès B is so fitting for the American market.
