The process is not a tedious one: guests sip champagne, and eat caviar and chocolate dipped strawberries while trying on some of the best pieces from the legendary Italian jeweler.

While Bulgari can't divulge who'll be wearing their baubles to the Oscars, during FWD's visit actress Chloe Sevigny stopped by and took interest in some of the larger, more colorful pieces.

So taken with a couple of the necklaces she said the magic words every jeweler wants to hear from a celeb: "Well, I haven't chosen the dress yet so I could get the dress to work around the necklace."

"It's so unusual to hear that now. It's usually all about the dress, and the jewelry is seen just as an accessory," explained an ecstatic Worldwide External Relations Director, Mimma Viglezio. "A necklace can change your whole face. It can change your life."

The collection on display includes turquoise and gold pendants from the '70s, a diamond crown cuff designed to peek out from a long sleeve, '40s-style broaches and a long diamond puzzle necklace that breaks down into a bracelet, choker and broach.

"Many of our Oscar pieces are vintage," said Viglezio. "We are in the process of buying back our vintage pieces and building an archive collection, so none of the pieces are for sale."

So what do they foresee being popular at the awards this year?

"I expect to see more color, and a lot of ethnic styles," said Viglezio. "I hope that people don't play it safe - and that they go for the bolder pieces."
