Celebrities now seem to shop the sarongs that keep the rest of the world outfitted in cool summer gear. Each icon personality seems to have a different twist on this fashion wrap that keeps the crowds watching. Here are some of the most recent trends that have caught the attention of a hired lens.

Rihanna
This pop diva is known for wearing ensembles that share a lot of flesh with her audiences. Racy stage costumes revealing midriff, perfectly toned thighs and ample cleavage have become her signature gear for performance. It is a shift to see Rihanna sporting calmer, more conservative pieces.

She has been spotted in a bright blue and white sarong tied on the shoulder and draped diagonally across the chest. It functions this way as a single loose, flowing maxi dress. Her bikini top strap was visible on the bare shoulder when she wore this, making the bare shoulder effect more subtle and feminine.

Paris Hilton
There is no way thrill-seeking Paris could wear a traditional sarong draped in a traditional manner. Her forte seems to be the mini sarong tied on the side of the hip and adorned in a conservative dangle of beads and baubles. The Paris sarong choice is usually accompanied by matching pumps, a matching purse, a simple necklace and earrings.

Pamela Anderson
A beach beauty icon, Pamela Anderson has never needed the sarong to cover her flashy swimsuits or the curves they accentuate. However, when she decides to wear one, she always does it in a way that suggests the beauty of the body that made her famous. Gradient pinks tied at the center of the bust line make Anderson’s sarong resemble a Roman halter dress. The spaghetti straps of her bikini top tie around the neck and look like a seamless part of the sarong. The tie creates an empire drape and a loose flowing split down the front of the sarong. Everything about this look says the wearer is a goddess.

Kim Kardashian
Fans may not exactly call Kim Kardashian a fashion icon, but they certainly watch what she wears. For her, the sarong is all about accentuating the hips. She and her sisters, Kourtney and Khloe, believe in the traditional tie method for the sarong. The Kardashian trend seems to be draping it about the waist and tying it at the front or on the side. The tie is usually low, dipping slightly below the bikini bottom to showcase the trendy pattern or color chosen for the bikini. Bold, solid colors usually make it easy for the bikini choice to stand out on the Kardashian frame.
