Sanctuary: Perfect For The Active Teen
By: Lael Ward-Shapiro
LOS ANGELES, Apr 7, 2003/ FW/ --- The Fall 2003 Sanctuary clothing line was excellent. Not only was each design trendy but also every style appeared low-maintenance, perfect for the active teen.
A variety of fabrics were used for the fall lineup including satin, corduroy, fleece and suede. While many of the colors ran to dark olives and tan there were brighter colors thrown into the mix from time to time.
Some highlights from the show: pink checked capri pants and a vivid green suede mini skirt were both cute and chic respectively. Additionally, Sanctuary had some beautiful contrasts happening within the collection. The best example was a pair of low riding black pants that were paired with a wide low hanging white belt.
Within the collection, women had a choice of a youthful pinstripe jacket or an amazing satin bomber jacket. The skirts tended to be knee length or higher, with suede the popular material for the mini skirts. There were also a variety of snow vests. A furry red snow vest was particularly attractive.
For men, the clothing presented was relaxed and good-looking. A plaid flannel looked comfortable and completely California style while a winter hoody was fantastic for a cold night.
While none of the Sanctuary collection was not as risqué as those shwon by some designers, several of the outfits were smart enough for the club.
For the younger, active generation Sanctuary provided a dedicated collection of apparel that would look great on more than just the stereotypical model figure.
