Philippe Starck to Design Fossil Watches

DALLAS, Apr 18, 2001/ --- Fossil (NASDAQ: FOSL) and internationally renowned designer Philippe Starck announced a
strategic licensing agreement under which Fossil and Philippe Starck will develop a signature
line of watches.
The collection was recently previewed at the International Watch Fair in Basel, Switzerland.
Deliveries to department and specialty stores in the U.S. as well as select watch and jewelry
retailers are scheduled for third quarter 2001, with a global rollout planned to follow
immediately.
The "Philippe STARCK with Fossil" line will launch with a 12-piece collection consisting of
six stainless steel bracelets and six watches with rubber straps. Prices will begin at $95.
Plans for additional styles to follow in the fourth quarter of 2001. Each style will be
personally designed and overseen by Philippe Starck, and developed by Fossil.
