LOS ANGELES, Jul 9, 2001/ -- Lloyd Klein will introduce a masculine version of draped suits for men incorporating the Grés technique that he mastered
in the mid 90’s as head designer for the House. Inspired by "Super-heroes, Rock Stars and Greek Gods",
he ironically describes his collection as... "androgynous masculinity".
Madame Grés protégé, Parisian couturier Lloyd Klein, who has shown his signature label womenswear collections
for the last two seasons on the runways in Bryant Park has announced plans to present his menswear collection
for his Spring Summer 2002 show in September in New York.
Klein has been pining to do a menswear line for a very long time, in addition to continuing his well-received
women’s couture and ready-to-wear lines. He will present both collections together on the same runway during New
York’s Fashion Week.
On the Hollywood side, female celebrities who have donned Lloyd Klein include Renee Zellweger, Thora Birch,
China Chow, Bo Derek, Rachel Leigh Cook, Cheryl Tiegs, Katherine Heigel, Jennifer Blanc, Jennifer Esposito,
“Survivor’s” Colleen Haskell and singers Paula Abdul, Pink, Mary J. Blige, Eve and Whitney Houston.
Lloyd Klein womenswear is now available in such upscale boutiques as Ultimo (Chicago), Tootsies, (Houston),
