'I Am': Celebrating The Femininity of Plus Size Women
DALLAS, Oct 10, 2001 / FW/ -- Although plus size women are in the majority, they remain one of the most overlooked segments of society, most notably in the area of fashion.
Just My Size Hosiery, the number one plus size hosiery brand, is helping to change that with its latest campaign which is an evolution of the two-year long running "I AM" campaign.
Including a full range of consumer print and television media placements, this evolution gives the target customer a bolder, sassier, more energetic voice.
Helping the brand advance beyond just selling legwear and fashion apparel, the creative takes on an advocacy stance empowering and motivating the attitudes of plus-size women to give them a feeling of inclusion.
The new Just My Size Hosiery print ads are currently appearing in Mode, Ebony, Essence, Family Digest, Family Circle, First for Women and People, targeting women ages 25-54.
"We wanted to convey a spirit of freedom and movement to make this woman feel a vital and active part of today's society," comments Angela Hawkins, director of marketing for Just My Size Hosiery.
"The hosiery ads feature women showcasing their legs and enjoying life in a new ultra sheer hosiery style for going out on the town or in a new opaque tight for more casual occasions," adds Hawkins.
In an effort to communicate a message of empowerment, Just My Size launched the new campaign with shots of plus-size models in motion and full range of spirit and energy. Temerlin McClain, the agency of record for Just My Size, developed the creative campaign as an evolution to the two-year running "I AM" campaign.
