New Era Launches Baseball Caps Inspired by Fred Durst
August 30, 2002/ --- New Era rocks! The company which is the U.S. leading manufacturer
of baseball caps, is "Rollin'" out a new line of headwear.
New Era announced the release of their Flawless collection of caps, which are inspired by
recording star Fred Durst of the music group, Limp Bizkit.
This collection, named after the artist's own record label, marks the first time that New Era
has collaborated with a musician on a signature series of caps.
"It's exciting for New Era to blend our predominantly sports-driven brand with
music fashion," said John DeWaal, director of marketing for New Era Cap Co.,
Inc.
"Fred Durst has a unique relationship with New Era and his red Yankee cap
has really become a significant piece of his on-stage image. This collection is
a perfect extension of our relationship and was entirely inspired and created by
Fred himself."
Each cap in the Flawless collection embodies a new feel for baseball's
classic look, featuring an offset, minimized logo on the lower left front panel.
Each Flawless cap is an authentic 5950 model and is available for all Major
League Baseball® teams in each team's color and in the all black (Onyx)
series.
The caps also feature a collectable metal clip on the visor featuring
the Flawless label and a replica of Durst's signature.
A special point of
purchase display package has been developed that will feature Durst's image and
the Flawless logo.
The Flawless collection is anticipated to hit stores in late August and early
September, and will be available at retailers nationwide and at
(www.neweracap.com).
The suggested retail price
for the Flawless collection caps is $26.99.
