PARIS, April 26, 2003/ FW/ --- Christian Dior Couture has released a new Chris 47 steel watch that
preserves all the finest qualities of the aluminum version launched in 2001.
The high-tech, high fashion watch has become more refined and noble.
The new version features a polished 316 L steel case, the traditional
material for high-end timepieces, a supremely slender profile, only half the
thickness of the original model, dials with refined lacquered or sun brushed
treatments and a scratch-proof sapphire crystal. Interchangeable leather
straps match the latest line of Dior leather goods.
The Chris 47 steel watch has also adopted a new color code, with shades of
white, red and black. It is available in four matching versions: white dial
and white strap, red dial and red strap, black dial and black strap, silver
dial and black strap.
Additionally, a limited edition "Guest Star" will be available for the
spring/summer 2003 season only. This model boasts a white dial and white
python strap, which matches the upcoming collection of leather goods.
All Christian Dior watches are crafted by the most highly respected
watchmakers, and bear the Swiss made label with pride.
Named after Christian Dior and the number 47 for 1947, the year that Christian
Dior launched its first watch, Chris 47 has been inspired by street chic, like
many John Galliano designs. Due to its unique look, it can be worn with
almost anything.
