A Winner by a Mile! Hatchbacks Footwear for Children Introduces Unique, Yet Resourceful Race Car Shoe
May 2, 2003/ FW/ --- Hatchbacks Footwear, Inc. today announced the introduction of its newest
collection of children's shoes, the Hatchbacks Racers, a Model-T for "toddler"
shoe.
The shoes feature a unique and patented "hinge" opening system at the heel
of the shoe allowing for easy entry for a small foot into the shoe. Patterned
after a race car, the Hatchbacks Racer is available in three colors black, blue
and red.

The shoe features sleek mag wheels, cautionary tail lights and even
personalized HB2003 license plates. The Hatchbacks Racer is available to boys
and girls in sizes 4 through 10.
"Much like an automobile, Hatchbacks shoes provide extensive engineering and
a sleek design with an eye for practicality," said David Gasparovic founder and
president of Hatchbacks. "We implemented fit-testing to ensure generous toe room
and excellent flexibility. As a father of three, I know that shoes are not just
a necessity, but a reflection of our child's personality. There have been many
mornings when my children resisted getting dressed. Our design takes into
account the need for a shoe that is easy to put on as well as fashionable enough
for a toddler. We have adopted a saying around Hatchbacks, if you can't find the
Racer shoes, just go look in the toy box."
As simple as Ready! Set! Go!
Designed with simplicity in mind, the Hatchbacks Racer hinge opens in the
back part of the shoe. To open, release the Velcro seat belt tabs, move downward
for a generous opening, then slip your child's toes into the front part of the
shoe. To finish, close the back part around your child's heel and snugly fasten
the shoe.
Hatchbacks Footwear distributes the Hatchbacks Racer shoe theme through major
footwear retailers nationwide including JC Penney's, Journey's Kidz, Just for
Feet, select Macy's and Burdines stores. The Hatchbacks Racer is available in
