MILAN, Dec 9, 2004/ FW/ --- This summer be sure to stock up at your local vintage boutique on all the great plastic accessories so you too can look High Fashion….

Who is doing it and why?

Everyone from DSquared to Anna Molinari is doing it. I often wonder is there a real council that sits around and forecast specific accessories that will be cool for years to come?

Or are just most of the stylists, for these fashion houses, are friends and they all happen to shop at the same vintage bends around town???!!!

For spring/summer 2005, stylists sure jumped on the bandwagon of plastic bangles along with low drop earrings. One of the cutest trends next summer will be to go grab all of your nonna’s old costume jewelry and just pile it on from beads to bangles, the more the better…

If you do this look correctly, it can really be cute. Stores in London like Top Shop and and H & M of Sweden have already started producing these plastic accessories in over load for a couple of seasons.

Fortunately, London is one of the cities where females are allowed to be over accessorized with bright bangles and cheap necklaces. So this is definitely an affordable look if you wish to dare.

Who is doing this trend in the high-end market?

Anna Molinari

Let’s start off first with Anna Molinari who is going for not only one, but both of the trends. Molinari is giving us azul long beads as well a wrist full of large bangles. These bangles are in soft rainbow colors from pale yellow to bright Pink Panther pink.

Bottega Venetta is putting a twist on the look by doing his bangles of coral. Venetta is also trying to make this cheap fad more adaptable to their customer by offering not just a plastic bangle, but also a semi-elegant marble bangle.

Emilio Pucci

Pucci is going for a more ethnic necklace of leather, which is great. Some of Emilio Pucci’s looks were full of silver necklines and low drop earrings.

These low drop earrings are also a trend that has come from the streets to high fashion, but these earbobs can turn an outfit from day to night.

Pucci’s neck of silver is a very ethnic look which many other designers are doing like Cavalli.

The new women’s line from Dsquared, Dsquared 2, is getting into this fetish as well by presenting very wearable low drop earrings in gold….

Style is all about freedom, so take what they tell us to wear and put your own signature twist to it!!!!
