NEW YORK, May 24, 2005/ FW/ --- Cesare Paciotti, namesake and designer of Cesare Paciotti shoes once said, ‘I believe that in footwear, there are timeless basic elements. Yet, as timeless as they may be, one must continuously search for the elements in this field where fantasy and creativity are the leaders.’
True to his word, Cesare Paciotti continuously innovates and challenges the status quo to come up with contemporary shoes created with traditional craftsmanship.
Established in 1948 by the designer’s father Guiseppe Paciotti, the Milan based company’s vision was and still is “to create a quality product that distinguishes itself as a leader in the accessories industry.”
Starting as a producer of men’s shoes observant of all definitive components of luxury products, the company was all about sophistication, elegance and functionality from the very beginning.
In 1980, Cesare, upon graduation from the Dams Institute in Bologna, Italy, became the designer and chairman, bringing with him a new vision that would take the Paciotti heritage into new heights.
Cesare envisioned the brand to develop on a new level of craft while maintaining its roots and “old-school” customs. So when he combined contemporary art with his father’s craftsmanship, he not only broke all the rules of traditional men’s footwear, but also launched a collection that resulted with immediate worldwide success.
In 1990, Cesare launched a women’s collection continuing the same sensibility and creative reference points.
The daring five-inch stilettos heels had then became the signature feature for women’s. Over time the women’s line evolved, developing new concepts such as innovative materials and variations of heel heights.
Today, the women’s collection embraces silk fabrics, exotic skins, and round toes, to name a few, making the collection suitable for both day and evening wear.
The success of Cesare Paciotti’s Men’s and Women’s Collections inspired the launch of 3 other product lines: Heroes, a footwear line targeting a younger audience, 4US, a sports line, and Accessories including handbags, belts, jewelry and eyewear.
Through the success of his collections and his impact on the designer accessory market, he also collaborated as a consultant, developing licensing agreements on a manufacturing level with many of fashions respectable designers such as Gianni Versace, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, and Romeo Gigli.
Cesare Paciotti redefined modern luxury goods with its flawless detailing and superior craftsmanship in men’s and women’s footwear, handbags and accessories. The reputation for fusing contemporary lifestyle and modern imagination with classics and elegance grew and made the brand a sought out product and a leading fashion icon.
Cesare Paciotti is available in the company’s 30 freestanding boutiques in major cities worldwide including New York, Los Angeles, Milan, Paris, and London.
Cesare Paciotti is also distributed throughout select department and specialty stores worldwide. In the U.S., Cesare Paciotti is available in Neiman Marcus stores nationwide.
