Silhouette Sunglasses LOS ANGELES, Nov 14, 2005/ FW/ --- It’s been over 20 years since ‘Risky Business’ starring Tom Cruise made wearing sunglasses a rave, yet that trend continues up to today as Silhouette eyewear hit the runway last month at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios Spring 2006 season.

Seen at Louis Verdad and Elsie Katz catwalk presentation, Silhouette sunglasses generated heat, as it became the must-have accessory for Spring 2006.

“I love to make women look beautiful and I believe in quality,” said designer Louis Verdad. “Silhouette eyewear is a terrific complement to my spring collection. The designs are beautiful and the quality of the craftsmanship behind their frames is unparalleled.”

Louis Verdad’s vision for Spring 2006 is innocence and refinement, sophistication and playfulness. He proposed two silhouettes, one structured, the other fluid.

He played with tailored looks like in the micro jacket in the candy stripe pink done with bubble sleeves, then interjected it with flowing shapes when he paired the micro jacket with a white rayon jersey ruffle tank.

His ladies represent two sides of a coin – one prim & proper, the other a coquette and mischievous. And with Silhouette sunglasses as accessories, that vision was achieved as the Louis Verdad ladies use the eyewear to be flirty yet mysterious.

Silhouette Sunglasses At Elsie Katz, the Silhouette sunglasses were taken on a different light.

Designer Donna Baxter, known for creating designs that celebrate the woman who is at ease with herself and loves being feminine, several pairs of the new sunglasses were chosen to complement Baxter’s sumptuous yet whimsical designs.

“I’m always inspired to make something that is artistic in its look and perfectly crafted inside and out,” said Donna Baxter, owner and designer of Elsie Katz Couture.

“Silhouette’s designs, like my own, communicate a personal style all their own. They are a great match for my new spring collection.”
