MILAN, Mar 30, 2005/ FW/ --- If Dean and Dan Caten treated the religious subject cheerfully and lightheartedly, the same way Whoopi Goldberg’s “Sister Act” found Jesus; Italian designer Riccardo Tisci took a more serious approach.

Known for his use of Gothic symbolism, Riccardo Tisci put the crucifix as the highlight of his set during his Fall 2005 presentation.

The set for the show was fully equipped with an altar with a Bible and a real yet still life version of a fallen angel and a good angel.

The fallen angel was a beautiful sun-kissed male model in full black tulle skirt while the good angel was dressed in a white gown fitting for a wedding with her blank pale skin and white long blonde tresses down her side.

Tisci’s basic colors for the season were black and white with a few pale pinks thrown in for exaggeration.

The models that were dressed in succulent black gowns were trying to coax the models that were dressed in pure virgin white away from the altar and definitely away from giving their life to the cross.

As controversial as this show ended, it still says so much about religion and God in the eyes of Tisci.

Even though it was not as light hearted and inspirational as DSquared’s, it gave the audience a direct message of the struggle of good and bad through a spiritual and religious sense.
