LMG&Co. DALLAS, Aug 24, 2006/ FW/ --- Dallas-based jewelry designer Leah Gormly continues to create unique jewelry pieces that are just something to get crazy about. Her latest collection, the ‘Organic Couture’ series is a play on texture and shapes that are familiar yet unique.

All showcased in sterling silver or 14K gold, semi-precious stones such as chalcedony, topaz and quartz are cut and polished to replicate a shape that exists in nature or man-made such tree barks and leaves, stone walls and antique hardware.

‘Texture is both tactile and visual,’ says Leah Gormly. ‘Texture connects with something deep inside. Texture can evoke old memories or create new ones; it can propel us forward or cause us to stand still. Experiencing texture can be physical and spiritual all at once.’

Staying true to her design philosophy, Leah Gormly since the inception of LMG&Co. and the debut of her first ever collection in Fall 2004 had always created pieces that bring some form of texture to life.

Like the ‘Klimt Cuff’ that was inspired by the paintings of Austrian artist Gustav Klimt known for their decorative sensuousness. Introduced in Fall 2005, the piece was interpreted as a sterling silver bracelet, with varying textures and irregular cutouts, the Klim Cuff is a bold statement-making piece that is both strong and feminine.

The LMG&Co. collection is sold in several stores throughout the country, including The Garden Room in Austin, Jacqueline Jarrot in Los Angeles, Keil & Co. in Overland Park, Kansas, and Fringe in Gulfport, Mississippi.
