DALLAS, May 30, 2007/ FW/ --- High energy and dynamic, the Cesare Paciotti Fall 2007 shoe collection is a story of a non-traditional woman who has renounced formality in favor of style.
Sculpted pieces that look like they were carved specifically for the feet, stacked heels that are curved like Roman arches, stilettos that are so thin and chunky platform heels, the shape and form are elements that are as important as the materials used.
Shiny silver leather was layered over with black lace to create a matte finish, and then crystals and/or semi-precious stones were either encrusted or beaded for a rich texture.
The square rounded toes give it a 1940s touch, while double straps on the upper of the shoe reminds one of S&M, making it sexy and almost sexual.
Then, Cesare Paciotti changed gear and included ‘dainty’ in the mix with the bows and strappy sandals.
It’s also a story about the choice of materials - from soft to patent leather adorned with lace or crystals, even bows, the contradictions add to the edgy charm of the collection.
