SAO PAULO, Jun 19, 2004/ FW/ --- Probably one of the best-known Brazilian designers in the international fashion scene, Alexandre Herchcovitch’s Spring 2005 collection did not disappoint his fans in his hometown.
Sending models on a runway filled with spring flowers, it was literally a kaleidoscope of colors that are ever so lovely.
Baby doll blouses and dresses that are sometimes shirred are both sweet and contemporary. Above the knee dresses and skirts can easily show off a beautiful summer tan.
Yet the genius of the collection is in his choices of prints and combination of solids that are never glaring to the eye.
Herchcovitch, who burst into the Sao Paulo fashion scene in 1993, creating a buzz with his creative use of latex and denim, two incongruous materials that he mixed and matched, has never lost that experimental touch that he has honed through the years.
Each season, his collections continue to be experimental, yet it never fails to please his audience.
