Alexandre Herchovitch: Prep Meets Punk
By Randal Jacobs

Alexandre Herchcovitch Menswear NEW YORK, Sep 15, 2004/ FW/ --- Set in one of the newest fashion show sites in New York, named New Space, the Herchovitch show literally got off to a funky start.

Introducing Punk to Preppy, traditional blazers were tailored and cropped with splashes of color. Checkerboard pants and shoes teamed with paisley print bandanas were inspired by inner city skate boarder kids.

Jeans were styled with buttons down the seams and shirts were fitted to the body. Personalized Converse All-Stars accompanied every look.

Sandal Converses with shoelace straps was a new take on the classic trainer. The apron skirts with matching trousers were definitely an eye catcher. Small graphics on shirts layered with tanks also kept the Rebel-Prep them throughout the show.

With a rainbow bright color palate, vibrant hues of red, blue, black, red, turquoise painted the show.

Herchovitch has definitely confirmed that the prep look will be in for Spring/Summer 2005, so why not make it your own and punk it up...
