B Michael NEW YORK, Feb 8, 2004/FW--"Favorite Things" as the press release stated is what b Michael has in store for us come Fall 2004.

B Michael used luxe fabrics such as cashmere and a delicately subtle herringbone in soft pile tweed for his daywear designs to show his "haute sportswear" look.

And for the evening, he prefers matte shine and compositions of silk & wool to show off his "red carpet" creations. These are b Michael's favorite fabrics of all, a tribute to his early and preppy boyhood in Connecticut.

With UPS as one of b Michael's sponsors, he started us off with fine looking gents who took the catwalk wearing the traditional UPS uniforms and had the women in the room absolutely drooling over these fine tuned gents. Each of them carried a little something, which they gave to different individuals who were seated in the front row as they make their way back.

Now back to fashion. The first model wore a full sweep ball gown in black-watch plaid-cashmere followed by a model in a scarf collar jacket, slim skirt of navy herringbone-cashmere.

The white mink trapeze collar (black) jacket cashmere with fluted skirt in salt 'n pepper tweed could very easily be seen worn by a glamorous woman shopping down 5th Avenue.

However, the designer's off the shoulder silhouette dress, English wool satin gabardine in winter white and the off the shoulder A line black cocktail dress, DF matt-shine, silk wool could have been something worn by our unforgettable Grace Kelley.

As far as the "red carpet" is concerned, how about a fluted cascade gown, silk/gazare lining in amethyst or the asymmetrical neck ball gown, wool-silk satin in black.

Look out Hollywood; we may just see them in one of the award shows.

B Michael's collection were also seen accented by some of his handbags made of exotic skins such as ostrich and alligator as well as gloves used to be flirty and modern.

A job well done b Michael! Can't wait to see what you will offer us for your spring collection.
