NEW YORK, Oct 21, 2002/ FW/ --- If you are looking for a totally wearable collection on the New York runways, then the B Michael show is the one for you.

Everything he showed last September at Bryant Park can be worn right off the bat.

There were no extra 'fufus' nor the usual runway excess for shock value.

It's an old fashioned runway show - where wearable clothes are featured and not the designer's ego.

As his wont, B Michael had something for every woman for every occassion.

For a nice dinner out in town, or a wedding party, he sent out-above the knee dresses with bias-cut skirts or asymmetrical hemline finished off with pleats.

For the career woman, he sent out suits - either in a form of a skirt and jacket or pants and jacket.

He even thought of the 'go-everywhere little black dress' whether for church, cocktails or even a business meeting.

It was in the gowns where he excelled.

Taking inspiration from the Spanish senorita, he sent out body-hugging gowns layered below the knee.

If you want drama, there is the beige gown with a keyhole neckline which was also body-hugging and showed off your figure well.

To break each section of the collection, B Michael used a lone male model.

This concept is actually being used from New York to Paris.

And even the menswear shows in both Paris & Milan had started using female models on the runway just to announce a different 'section' of the collection.

Hence, seeing a male model at B Michael's women's ready-to-wear show was not surprising.
