PARIS, Mar 5, 2005/ FW/ --- A winning collection no matter how you look at it, Barbara Bui’s Fall 2005 collection is delightfully feminine and fittingly inspired for autumn / winter by the Mongolian culture.

A parade of luxury fabrics from fur, silk taffeta, chiffon and velvet, Barbara Bui mixed the lush colors of the alpine mountains with basic black and snowy white to create a very wearable collection that will surely fly off the shelves when it hits the stores.

Using Mongolian ethnic icons and graphics as basis for the embroidery designs, Barbara Bui put them on winter coats and vests trimmed with fur, adding an haute couture feel to the collection.

A must-have is a knee-length soft leather coat in white embroidered with Mongolian tribal symbols at the front and back and on the cuffs. And that is just the beginning!

Tube top cocktail dresses made fluid with sheered chiffon skirts, a velvet mini-dress embedded with green Swarovski crystal to the shape of a bib, keyhole necklines on basic black, tapered pants matched with tuxedo-inspired jackets --- any fashionista would love to have them as additions to their wardrobe.

And the accessories are as delightful as the clothes. Ankle length boots decorated with rivets, stacked heel boots trimmed with fur, soft patent leather totes, ostrich & fur shawls, Barbara Bui did not miss a beat in this collection.

In fact, it was a perfect pitch that can only be likened to an opera singer hitting the highest note without even losing her breath.

Definitely, one of the best collections shown by the designer and one of the best this season.
