NEW YORK, Sep 11, 2004/ FW/ – Creative Director Michael Vollbracht for Bill Blass shone in the red carpet arena and sweetened daywear with dresses reminiscent of the 1950’s.
Belted waists, ponytails and knee length volume loving skirts looked like they had just stepped from a Hollywood housewives veranda where she entertains with girly talk in the day and sips Martini’s in the evening.
In this well put together collection Vollbracht keeps up the Blass tradition in creating a stylish wardrobe for the woman of all occasions where must haves are just as chic and elegant as ever.
His good girls wear collars with bows as rare accessories, two pieces linen suits with dark colored trim and lovely wool crepe box jackets and floral, creating a everlasting feminine silhouette.
Modern yet timeless, Blass conquers evening wear with a series of elegant and individual pieces such as strapless portrait necklines and one shoulder full length dresses that will no doubt be front row and among the best dressed lists at future VIP lineups.
Being at the helm of a historic ship with a grand reputation is not an easy feat, but Vollbracht is the necessary wind keeping the sails full and steady, moving forward with determination and personality while never taking from the grandeur of the original.
