DALLAS, May 1, 2005/ FW/ --- Known for its luxe sportswear, Sonia Bogner raised the bar several notches higher by going demi-couture for Fall 2005.
Using plush brocades, cashmeres, velvets, furs and leathers complete with intricate beading and embroidery, combined with tailored looks, Sonia Bogner went for traditional elegance without going over the top.
Rather, she created true masterpieces for the multicultural woman with many interests and a
cosmopolitan attitude.
The result – a collection that is truly wearable with European flair and styling for women with a strong personality and a passion for life.
Beginning with the long coats hand-embroidered and beaded with ethnic patterns to the fun treatment of denim jeans all the way to the safari-inspired boots, again beaded and hand-embroidered, Sonia Bogner struck a masterful balance between modernity and tradition.
The trademark of this collection – sartorial silhouettes with a luxurious attitude exemplified by the snug fitting jackets and minute detailing like the tiny stitches in the pockets and Swarovski crystal buttons.
Bavarian hats, riveted totes, beaded handbags and pointed stilettos completed looks as Sonia Bogner opted to dress her ladies for all occasions.
And the best thing about this collection, it never lost the sportive quality that had made Bogner famous. Sonia Bogner just added another facet to it!
