Bruce: Symphony in Black & White

Dec 28, 2001/ FW/ --- For Spring 2002, Bruce designers Nicole Noselli and Daphne Gutierrez
did not shy away from black and white, an interesting basic pallette for a spring collection
since both are classified as non-colors.
And just as you start thinking that the designers forgot that it was a spring
collection, they send to the runway different shades of yellow - from mustard to
sunshine. For fun, they added magenta and several shades of red.
There were a lot of references to the 1980s. After all, it has been 20 years and
there is a new generation out there who would be interested in wearing these clothes.
Though Bruce did not break any new grounds for fashion in this collection, most
of the clothes are wearable, and yes... thoroughly updated for the fashion of the
first decade of the new millennium.
Bruce's definition of the "little black dress" extended to an all black pant suit.
This would be a great addition to anyone's wardrobe.
You could wear it for work, for
an early dinner out, and if you have to catch a plane in a hurry, it is also great
travelling clothes.
You can actually go to a meeting straight from the airport, just make sure that
you dust off crumbs from the airline food.
