Byblos MILAN, Feb 23, 2005/ FW/ --- Kate Bush is the muse. Contrast is the key. Byblos for fall winter 2005/06 is a rainbow of color and a wave of divergent emotions.

The four mind design team behind the label that brings light to impassable winter faces and the harsh cold, revel in the idea of contemporary urban wear that breaks firm fashionville rules.

Mixing and matching unusual combinations for Myler, Citron, Piaggi and Facchini is no novelty, so when the seventies meets future looks of delicate cashmere, tailored cropped Prince of Wales and sheepskin jackets along with metallic stripes, the result is a structured and original collection, turning bitter frostbite simply to a mind set.

Byblos proves that clean-cut order can also be feminine. Ruffles and winged sleeves dance in the breeze on floral and print rich textiles for empire line silk dresses before plunging necklines accentuate the female silhouette that the eye follows to delicious must-have suede stilettos that are bound to become the shoe of the season.

Paneling and fabric piecing is turned easily into patchwork. Stripes merge with patterns, ribbon edging is essential as are accents on seams and functional pockets, while pinstripes are often made of lurex yarn.

Winter wonderland fantasies are as eclectic as wearing long culottes, volume rich gathers at the rear of skirts and three quarter sleeve jackets worn over blocks of colored silk sweaters.

Delicate and strong, fun and diverse, the Byblos wardrobe is a harmonious blend for the playfully stylish and urban chic that seeks wearable originality.
