Byblos MILAN, Jan 20, 2005/ FW/ --- Deeply devoted to color, the Byblos autumn winter 2005/06 collection that many a man will surely be sporting next chilly season is no exception.

Strongly believing that this is the path for future trends in menswear, the Byblos team sent out confident and bold looks bathed in winter sunlight, rather than the trend set drab colour palette that has dominated Milan this week.

Easy and relaxed, yet with hints of strong tradition in a deconstructed kinda-way via prince of wales overcoats reworked with velvet finishes and delicious cashmere knit sweaters and college scarves.

Where the formal meets casual corduroy velvet takes control of flat fronted jean style trousers that streamline the male silhouette, or come in the more street easy ultra comfort baggy style.

To the sounds of guitar strings in absolutely must have sneakers, swirls and stripes are mixed, sheepskin vests are shortened to enhance the torso and varied fabrics are pieced together to create a total new look Steve McQueen.

Myth and model, choosing ever attentively his wardrobe and accessories made up of decisive cuts, ethnic hints and quality, allowing him an everyday form of luxury.

And so as the show comes to an end and the models take their final walk while Myler, Citron and Piaggi take their bow to enthusiastic applause, the front row starts to whisper….there is a fourth in their company at the end of the runway.

The mysterious face belongs to Manuel Facchini, St. Matins of London graduate and with a passion for photography and art, joins the trio in the artistic direction of Byblos after recently returning to Italy following various experiences abroad.

Surprises are always wonderful and this new addition is certain to keep things on the Byblos front interesting, especially if this delightful collection is any indication.
