MILAN, Jun 26, 2003 /FW/ --- An 80's new romantic mens collection dedicated to connoisseurs
of art that appear sensual, enigmatic and androgynous for a Byblos 2004 spring summer.
Tuxedo's with tails are reworked with cut-off sleeves and left to fray while matched with
casual cut pants.
Large collar jackets and frills, ambiguous fish tail tailored short jackets and white
shirts with pleats, are all part of this revival.
Classic symbols of elegance are taken to the street where mixing and matching are expected
as hoods are hung seperately around the neck, foulards instead of ties, buckles are
applied to large cardigans instead of buttons and ringlets are used on jackets as are
dangling straps.
Cumberbands are added to the top of pants and waistcoats are used for all occasions so
that day is mixed with night.
There is functional active wear with techno details as are the colours, white, dak shades
of grey and pastel tones of lavendar, ice and dusty pink and fabrics that range from
technical canvas to silk.
'Electromagnetic' in its charisma and charm, sensitive yet spontaneous for eccentrics
who hang out in places of cult where new trends are formed and that demand the right to
be nonconformists.
