LONDON, Sep 27, 2004/ FW/ --- With a backdrop of bigger than life photo of fiber optics, Camilla Staerk’s uber-modern collection struck a chord with the downtown set with the fusion of the contemporary and the traditional.

Crocheted vests, skirts and dresses were worn over leather, denim and high tech fabric. Keeping a very slim silhouette, the designer sent cigarette pants and snug fitting tank tops and blouses.

Innovative use of suspenders that came as thin straps of leather or spaghetti-thin fabric on skirts. Black and white is the predominant color, but Camilla Staerk did not forget that it is springtime and interposed red and silver to lighten things up.
