DALLAS, Jan 5, 2005/ FW/ --- If you like sexy clothes that do not hide their sultriness, then Brazilian-born designer Carlos Miele has your number.
Known for his “sexier-than-thou” creations, the Sao Paolo-based Miele loves to experiment with both traditional fabric and non-traditional materials like plastic and soft drink bottles that had earned him the nickname of Recycle Glamour King.
But his experimentations never let him stray from the beautiful traditions of his country. Using patchwork, macramé and crochet, Carlos Miele makes every ensemble he creates a statement of classic loveliness with a cutting edge fashion statement.
Take his Spring 2005 collection for example. Shown last September 2004 at New York’s Bryant Park, Carlos Miele intermixed prints and solids with ruffles, pleats and twisted knots to create a creation worthy of any red carpet appearance everywhere in the world.
From fluid fabrics that are sometimes high-tech, the Brazilian designer sent gowns and pantsuit sets that are head turners in their own right.
The new classics from Carlos Miele are exuberantly sexy with a touch of tradition.
