Cavalera: Brazilian Carnival Goes to the Beach

SAO PAULO, Jun 19, 2004/ FW/ --- If not for the elaborate headdresses and big hats, it would be easy to imagine that you are at Venice Beach in southern California with the sexy and revealing swimsuits.

But trust the Brazilians to make a look entirely their own, specially Cavalera, a label that had morphed from street wear to an entirely original and fun line.

With obvious references to the 1970s and 1980s seen on those tight short shorts and denim pants, Cavalera sent models on a rainbow inspired runway that added to the fun and optimistic feeling of the collection.

Navel baring spaghetti-strapped tops, Capri-length body hugging pants for women and jeanswear for men put this collection on the very wearable side of the spectrum.

The only downside of this collection is that you have to wait till next summer to get a hold of them!
