Cavalera: Music and Fashion

Cavalera epitomizes the fusion between music and fashion. Its roots was the trash metal band Sepultura, and one of its members is Igor Cavalera who started the label in 1996.

Starting first with the obvious choice of skateboarding, hip-hop and sportswear, the label had evolved into streetwear spiced up with a lot of humor.

André Lima and Fernando Sommer, talented designers in their own right had worked with the label. Since 1998, designer Thais Losso had been the creative force behind Cavalera, launching a collection inspired by Brazilian soap operas from the 1970s and 1980s.

Before that, King Kong and banana prints were the flavor of Cavalera. With a loyal fan base, the brand has been responsible for some of the most anticipated shows of São Paulo Fashion Week.
