Escada: Innovative and Forward Thinking

NEW YORK, Feb 9, 2004/ FW/ --- Escada which is well known for its innovative and forward thinking approach to fashion continues its winning streak with designer Brian Rennie’s Fall 2004 collection, one of the best seen in New York this week.

For Escada’s main line, Brian Rennie described it as a “new kind of pretty… elegance… the subtle art of improvisation.”

In my opinion, the designer was actually saying an understatement because the “little luxuries” such as the leather trimmed mini jacket and mini skirt in tweed is just perfect!

Then there are the leather skirts and jackets that featured laser cuts that are so intricate, figure hugging fur coats with leather insets and higher waistbands, and the sophisticated sheath dresses.

For the active women, Brian Rennie combined function and luxury with the ski pants and jackets in high gloss satin. With colors ranging from bright pink to yellow and turquoise, the white snow in Aspen or the Swiss Alps will be a great background.

A standout in the sportswear section is the Sherpa inspired long coat that featured ethnic details of the Himalayas.

New this season is the “working girl” suits --- skirts, pants and jackets that have Escada’s soft and feminine silhouettes that can go from the boardroom to the courtroom. Fashion tip for women lawyers – these outfits are perfect for showing your femininity in the courtroom, and still look like a serious barrister.

Being introduced this season is “Escada Kids,” a cutesy and pretty collection for the little ones. They have the famous Escada details and quality, just miniaturized for the little darlings of our lives.
