NEW YORK, Feb 7, 2005 / FW -- Our young child prodigy is that he is growing up and he can certainly play with the big boys in fashion.
Showing 32 exits that has one wondering where he gets his inspiration from always comes to mind. But as he once shared with FW, the answer is very simple, a beautiful woman.
Using the very luxe and rich combination of chiffon, wool and denim; wool knit and chiffon, silk chiffon and silk wool; silk wool and satin gabardine; chiffon and suede just to peek your mind.
Palette and patterns of green leaf patchwork, moss green, vintage green, autumn sunset, champagne, autumn sunrise, antique green, earth, camel, burnt apple, antique copper, red rose and your basic brown comes to play.
Shown in blouses, coats (trench style and tie belt styles), jackets (cropped calf-length, single and double breasted), pencil skirt, fringed cardigan, dresses (finely pleated all around), floor length skirt, wrap around skirts and capri pants.
Accentuated by short and long fringed heavy wool knit scarf in multi fall color.
Must-sees include the brown cashmere tie belt coat worn with heavy wool knit scarf and the golden leaf pleated chiffon circle knee-length dress. But not to forget his Oscar night and red carpet ready pieces by way of a burnt lemon pleated chiffon gown, the olive green silk charmeuse gown and the rose petal red silk charmeuse gown.
Looking at his collection without knowing just how young this designer is, one would never be able to guess.
Cortazar certainly knows his craft and quite an artist at heart. He's made his mark and is here to stay.
