DALLAS, Apr 15, 2007 / FW --- When Hidehiko Yamane founded Evisu in 1991, he just wanted to share his passion for vintage-style jeans with everyone. Little did he know that he would be developing a cult following for luxury jeans worldwide.
Loomed from specially engineered machinery, designed by Yamane himself, Evisu is a by-word in luxury and bespoke jeans. Today, the Evisu lines include menswear, womenswear, accessories plus golf and fishing range.
Traditionally unveiling its collection during Milan Moda Donna for womenswear and Pitti Uomo for menswear, Evisu debuted in New York last February, showing both its menswear and womenswear collections at the same time.
Merging influences from the East and West, designers Johnny Diamandis for menswear and Bonita Newby for womenswear, proposed kimono-inspired dresses and coats for women and Savile Row tailored suits and jackets for men.
Silk, wool and denim seamlessly converged on the runway. Loose fitting jeans and sharply cut trousers for men were paired with bombers and blousons.
Proposing minis and slim fit pants for women, it was alluring with just a hint of sensuality. Big bows and oversized ruffles softened the mostly black womenswear with red as the only other color that was presented.
It’s the perfect blend of casual and formal, that is just perfect for a youthful lifestyle.
