NEW YORK, Sep 15, 2003/ FW/ --- Designer Marie Claudinette Jean must have been thinking of the
upcoming Emmy Awards to be held this coming Sunday, September 21, when she was designing her
Spring 2004 collection.
"Boldly provocative yet elegant and sophisticated," the Fusha gowns are worthy of a red
carpet appearance.
The first garment should have warned the audience that the collection will be stimulating
at the least.
White leather mini-skirt matched with a white bikini top, accessorized with white leather
boots, though it looked 'virginal' was not innocent at all. Think Madonna in 1984 at the
inagural MTV Video Music Awards.
And the glitterati started. Models wore shimmering shorts, tops and pant suits.
Memorable piece is a blue leather short matched with a navel baring long sleeved top with a
train. It looks perfect for Beyonce Knowles who has been attending the shows at the tents
for the past several days.
Where is she when you need her? Or, at least, her stylist. Because there are surely several
pieces that the R&B diva can use from this collection.
The collection is not for the faint of heart, and you must have the figure to show off when
wearing it.
And if you are thinking of wearing Fusha this spring, NOW is the time to hit the gym.
