NEW YORK, Mar 6, 2002/ FW/ --- Ohmayra kicked off the Gary Graham collection with a singular creation of tangled cord and ropes. It looked like something Becca Valentine will wear in the TV show "Andromeda."

Later in the show, a model wears another "Becca Valentine" ensemble - fitted top and hipster cigarette pants in mocha with a Nokia phone dangling on her belt.

The whole collection seem to be a play on American pop culture. Bordering on sci-fi and fantasy, the models look like they just left the set of Xena Warrior Princess, Beastmaster and Andromeda rolled into one.

Designer Gary Graham has said that Xena The Warrior Princess is one of him muses.

Well, it showed in his Fall 2002 collection.

Using a neutral color pallette of earth tones - brown, beige and muted green, there was a futuristic and a medieval feel in the show.

Known for his deconstruction work, Gary Graham showed jagged hemlines, exposed seams and raw leather.

An interesting treatment is the "quilt-like" look for the jackets. They look sci-fi and I wonder where one could wear it, but it sure will be a conversation piece if worn on the streets.

On stage in a concert, chances are it will land an album cover!
