NEW YORK, Sep 15, 2004/ FW/ -- Gary Graham showed a very feminine and innocent collection with an edge that had a European feel to it.
A refreshing change from the normal day to day ready to wear pieces. Using silk cotton,
georgette, silk organza, cotton voile, silk georgette, charmeuse and leather.
Fabrics that enhances a woman's femininity that also released a certain naivete and innocence.
With the right cut, tailoring, detailing and accessories, it then became a fashion statement.
This collection screams, time for a change and be different.
Skirts and culottes with uneven asymmetrical hemlines, mushroom skirts, jacquard jacket, silk
leggings (worn up or folded to just below the knee) and asymmetrical pleats.
Even a crooked cardigan that looks like you've had it in the the closet for ages but since
you get so much comfort from it, you continue to wear it no matter what.
Palettes included rust, champagne, metal, white, moss, and ice. From a sequined tank dress, to the spaghetti dress, Gary Graham seems to convey a message, relax and take time to consider the other possibilities in life.
There is certainly without a doubt that comes Spring/Summer 2005, Graham's collection will be seen on the streets of New York, maybe even at Melrose in the Los Angeles area where fashion trend always hangs out.
