Ozwald Boateng PARIS, Jul 16, 2001/ -- Body Gem®,the perfectly cut, precious gemstones (amethyst, peridot, citrine, blue and white topaz) that are applied directly to the skin, echoed the vibrant colors of Ozwald Boateng’s thrilling creations and highlighted the genuine tribal accessories and authentic recreations of ritual customs.

Ozwald Boateng’s unique vision to apply Tribal Traditionalism to today’s men’s fashion and highlight the power of body adornment with the myth and magic of gemstones was brought to life by Oscar-winning make up artist and special effects expert Eileen Kastner-Delago.

Commissioned by Gem.net to interpret the designer’s ideas Eileen worked with Body Gem®, using a staggering 16.000 precious gemstones valued at $160, 000 to create spectacular tribal markings and other tribal adornments seen during the show.

Eileen Kastner-Delago was supported by M.A.C Cosmetic’s Pro Team in Paris.
