Michal Shafir, designer for Gottex captured the “mod girls on-the-go of the 1960s, the glam-goddesses of the 1970s and the sexy divas of the 1980s for her Spring 2004 collection presented last September during New York Fashion Week.

Getting inspiration from Courreges shapes and Pucci prints, Michal Shafir created maillots, sarongs and boiler suits that are sure head turners.

She even created beach bags, towels and hats to go with the outfits.

As she mentioned in her show notes, “Spring 2004 is about the fun of being a woman…”

And it truly is all about fun, from the bikini with crystal chain links, to the lace eyelet blouse and vinyl hot pants.
