NEW YORK, Sep 9, 2004/ FW/ --- Pool wet models in Gottex’s signature green print on white swimsuits opened a dynamic diamond studded show.

For this collection Gottex teamed up with Vivid, one of the world’s finest diamond houses who are renowned for their extraordinary rare colored stones. These beautiful diamonds adorned models with over 500 exceptional carats.

The show progressed from basic white swimsuits to a-symmetrical Bond girl inspired bikinis in lime green and vibrant orange. Accessorizing with suspender and belted straps, side pouches and pockets, Gottex gave a twist to the basic bathing suit.

Not only did Gideon Oberson show Gottex’s infamous swimsuits, he also gave us second skin fitted cat suits and floral print bathing suit covers and robes in sheer fabrics.

Details were important in this collection with skin baring slits, floral trims and zip front jackets. Classic one pieces also adorned the runway in black and white strips with hints of gray sparkles trimmed around paisley print bottoms.

The most elegant of swimsuits showed was Oberson’s take on the classic Barbie one piece.

With Katerina Scola and Ana Claudia on the runway, the show could only get better. The show climaxed and concluded with the most expensive bathing suit in the world that was adorned with $18 million dollars worth of diamonds surrounding the 103 carat flawless and rare Golconda Diamond.
